One of my fondest memory

Have you ever had a moment where you knew you had found more than someone to write, but a REAL friend? As I've been writing letters since I was a teenage, I have several stories about that. Here's one of my faves.

It was sometime in the 90s. I was writing letters to an American girl with whom I was sharing an interest for fashion and supermodels. One day, in a letter, she told me she was bisexual and she seemed really scared to admit it. I replied normally to her letter, making it clear that it wasn't a problem for me. I also told her that I was happy she decided to talk about something so intimate, that it must have been difficult for her...

As you can imagine, her next letter was full of joy and relief! She was so glad I didn't turn my back on her. Why would I? She was still the same nice, sweet, happy girl whose letters were like a sunshine in my letterbox... From that moment on, I knew we had a real friendship.

Years passed and we sadly lost touch, but I still think about that special moment. And I hope she's happy, wherever she is.
